The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by president Bill Clingan.
The treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Old Business:
Bill mentioned the club web site again. He also said that we now have a link to our web site on the Arab Tribune’s web site. We have plenty of space if anybody has anything they want to put on the web site. We are getting a lot of hits.
The ARES simulated emergency test (SET) will be this Saturday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Albertville recreation center. We will need help setting up on Thursday and Friday. There is a map, more info, and a schedule on the club web site.
New Business:
The club Christmas party will be on Monday, December 4th. We will have a sign up list to bring food on the club web site.
We need volunteers to run the nets. Skywarn is on Monday night. Tuesday is the traffic net. The ARES net is on Wednesday night. All the nets are at 8:00 p.m. There are scripts available. Send an email to Bill or Stan and they will put your name on a net control list.
Nominations were made for club officers for 2007. A motion was made and seconded to keep the same officers. The nominations were: president — Bill Clingan, VP — Stan Hurst, Treasurer/Secretary — Missy Flack.
A motion was made for the meeting to adjourn.
